Peaches and Cream Crumble Bars
Delicious peach infused cookie bars.
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar, divided
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. salt
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 12 oz. cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 2 t. pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 10 oz. peach jam
Instructions
- To begin, preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar with flour, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter to the mixture and stir until a crumbly dough forms.
- Press 2/3 of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla, egg, and the remaining sugar. Spread this cream cheese mixture over the crumbly dough base, then layer peach jam on top.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the peach jam layer and bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the dessert is lightly golden and puffed.
- Once baked, allow the dessert to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy this delicious treat!
Notes
Nix the gluten by using a gluten-free cup-for-cup flour.
