Exploring the world around us is something that is important to me and many others.

It is through this exploration that we can start to make sense of the world and our place in it.

Sometimes this exploration is close to home.

Other times, we are able to explore new parts of the world. This is where we can start to see how different areas are different. Yet, we may soon find that we share more with these other cultures than we realized.

Many of these posts chronicle our family’s adventures while some did not involve the kids. Since this site began, we’ve lived in Alaska, Colorado, Maryland, and Mississippi.
