40 Days of Seeking Him in Lent 2014, Holy Week
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The end of Lent is in our sights. Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, recalling how Christ entered Jerusalem with the crowd cheering him into town. At Mass, we also read one version of the Passion which sets our minds upon what is to come during Holy Week. As we mark the days, we anticipate the arrival of Easter and the celebration of how Christ’s ultimate sacrifice brought us life.
We went to Mass last night as today I will be leading a short Seder meal for the youth group and could not handle the really long day as Palm Sunday Mass is a little longer than usual. The opening song we sang (without a congregational procession) was Hosanna to the Son of David by Dan Schutte. Here is a recording of it with the lyrics shown:
I am not sure if I will be at any of the services for Holy Thursday or Good Friday this year. I do plan to attend Mass on Tuesday morning and will be dedicating some of my evening time to extra prayer and time to just listen.
How is your Lenten experience going so far?
Have you found a particular devotion or practice to be helpful in bringing your mind to Christ and growing in relationship with Him this Lent?
I hope that my readers will join us on the journey through Lent as we seek to grow closer to Christ. Christian bloggers are welcome to join us in the weekly link up with posts that they are writing to showcase activities or reflections taken during this Lenten journey.

So glad you did find us, Debbie! I look forward to the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme with Trish each Lent and Advent. Although, I do love to share the faith throughout the year as the Holy Spirit moves me.
Thank you so much for hosting, Laura!
It’s been inspirational!
Have a happy and blessed Holy Week, friend!
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Holy Week as well. I love co-hosting the 40 Days of Seeking Him in Advent and Lent as it helps me focus a bit more on my own journey and I get to see what others are doing.
