I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Today I thought I’d share an outfit that I sometimes put on for church when the weather is questionable for wearing a skirt (or maybe I just didn’t have time to shave…) This one works well with my triangle shape as the asymmetric top helps create a vertical line.
It is almost too hard to see, but there is a silver ring which hangs just below my waist to the side. It is a great accent for the top. The bit of silver had me selecting a silver and pearl cross necklace I have to continue the them.
While I’m wearing the top with classic black pants from Kohl’s, I have worn it with a khaki colored pant as well which works with the small splash of grey/khaki color in the pattern. A skirt which ends near the knee works as well.
Jessica from Elegantly Dressed & Stylish blogs about fashion for women over 40 which is a perfect fit for me. She has a tagline of “Over 40 Doesn’t Mean Frumpy!” which is how I am starting to feel as I up my fashion game and move past the homeschool mom ‘uniform’ of jeans and a tee. (Although I have a modified version at the moment… tee and capris.)
I am thrilled to be co-hosting this week’s Turning Heads Tuesday Linkup with her. I found her blog when the first linkup went live and really enjoy joining when I can and visiting other bloggers to see what they are wearing. I highly encourage you to follow her on Bloglovin, Instagram and Twitter.
A second co-host for the week is Healther, of The Sugar Ribbon Blog. Hello! I’m Heather, a mother of one four year old boy, a wife and a women’s interest blogger @ The Sugar Ribbon Blog.
