Welcome to the 116th edition of The Christian Home Magazine, a weekly Blog Magazine posted every Monday.

Summer is in full swing in Alaska with a week of gorgeous mostly sunny and warm days ahead.  I hope to get outside and enjoy it while I can.

Articles are submitted by various Christian Blog authors. I hope you enjoy the articles submitted for this week’s issue. Don’t forget to leave a comment here about your favorite article and give the author some comment love on their blog!

Gardening & Flowers

Featured Columnist –Linda fromLinda’s Lunacy shares a new Saturday on the Farm – Compost. We would love to have our own compost pile, but fear the bears would have a field day here.  However, amended soil is important in the garden.  Thanks, Linda, for sharing on this topic.

Modest fashion

Featured Columnist –Caroline from The Modest Mom blog shares her Modest Monday and a Link Up post.  Caroline looks lovely as always, and I adore those sandals.

Movies and Music

Featured Columnist – Laura O from Day Day in Our World polled her teen sons and compiled the Best 2013 Summer Movies for Boys, especially teens. Some of the action ones are best suited for the teen crowd, but even my younger boys adore Iron Man.
Annie Kate is visiting this week with a review of Temple Grandin.  This is a movie I had no previous recognition of, but plan to see it now.

Gentle Humor

Featured Columnist – Alana from Lightly Salted is taking an extended break from blogging to focus on polishing a few writing projects.   She’ll be back in July.

Design and Decorate

Featured Columnist Deanna from Home Haven Ministry will be back soon.

The Godly Home

Featured Columnist – Mrs. Sarah Coller from Hope in Every Season is on break this week.

Hospitality

Featured Columnist–Heather from Marine Corps Nomads is on a break for a few weeks.  I’m looking forward to when she returns with more great ideas for food and entertaining.

I am looking for a featured

columnists and/or submissions for the Finance,  Fitness, Home Business, Homekeeping, Parenting and Young Adult Columns.  The young adult columnist needs to be an established teen or young adult blogger.
