Exploring the Eagle River Valley

The weather was sunny for a change. So, Mindy ( The Devout Life) suggested we meet up for a late afternoon walk at the Eagle River Nature Center. (I’m the ‘ancient’ lady on the left in this photo!)
We’d been meaning to get out there, but somehow never made the time to visit. I am so glad we went and am looking forward to many more visits out there.
The boys’ only complaint was that we weren’t walking super far and no big wildlife was spotted on the walk.

The short tree ‘debris’ in this photo is evidence of the destruction the 1964 Earthquake caused.

That looks like a fun place to explore. My daughter would have loved being able to go into the tree. We hope to make it up to see the Redwood Forest sometime this year as she loves the idea of being able to walk/drive through a tree. 🙂
