2 Hearts: Inspirational Movie Focused on Gift of Life

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This post, 2 Hearts: Inspirational Movie Focused on Gift of Life, is part of a campaign with LEV3L Digital. I was provided with a screener copy and tickets to give away. All opinions are my own.

Recently, my husband commented about how so many movies are just themes on a previously done theme. Or, a remake of a past story that resonated with people. Some are even remakes of a remake!

This title is NOT a remake of a familiar story. Rather, it pulls from real life.

About 2 Hearts

For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted.

Based on an inspirational true story, 2 HEARTS is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and will strengthen our belief that miracles still happen.

This movie stars: Jacob Elordi (Euphoria; KISSING BOOTH), Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale, THE MIRACLE SEASON), Radha Mitchell (DREAMKATCHER; THE SHACK), Adan Canto (X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST; Designated Survivor).

2 Hearts releases to theaters on Friday, October 16, 2020.

My Thoughts on The Movie, 2 Hearts

In a nutshell, 2 love stories which both showcase hope for the future and pain from loss.

Through the first section of the movie, you are following the lives of 2 couples.

Jorge in an heir to a Cuban rum dynasty. But, you learn quickly that he has health issues that appeared when he was still a boy. He survives and on a Pan Am flight becomes quite smitten with the stewardess. He pursues her and they ultimately marry even though some in his family do not approve.

Chris is the youngest brother in his family and is off to his freshman year where he becomes smitten with fellow student, Sam. He becomes her most ardent supporter of the student organization she’s started to offer rides for inebriated students so they can get home safely.

Eventually their lives intersect. Only Chris never meets either Jorge or Sam. But, he has a lifelong impact on their lives.

This movie is definitely one that qualifies for tear-jerker status.

And it can be a great conversation starter on the topic of organ donation.

If you want something that is completely uplifting, this isn’t the movie for you. Go for a super light comedy instead.

But, if you enjoy films that are based on real-life like this one and like seeing that good can come from tragedy, then give 2 Hearts your time.

  1. I’m excited that this movie isn’t a remake or copy of some thing I’ve already seen. It sounds like it’s going to be a fun and romantic comedy. The perfect movie to share with the hubby and a bowl of popcorn! Thanks for sharing it.

  2. I like love stories based on a true story through the reflection of the storyline. I would definitely watch this with my significant other.

  3. I love watching chick flicks with one of my friends, it’s been awhile since we’ve been able to do so but I’d love a reason to get together again.

    1. While this one has a sad component, the overall message is definitely one of hope and love of others. Something we can all use these days.

  4. Thanks for the review! I love movies in general. True stories are my favorite. I’m even more excited that it’s not the same movie that’s already been made three times! With COVID restrictions finally relaxing a little, I’m excited to get back to the theaters. I’d love to take my best friend so we could have a nice break from little hands and screaming kids.
