Walking Toward Eternity and Growing Closer to God in Lent

Lent flew by this year and I failed to share all that happened for me. I have had some definite eye openers and have been growing closer to God. Participating in our parish’s MOMS Group study ~ Walking Toward Eternity: Daring to Walk the Walk has been one of the key points for me. We’ve only gone through 3 weeks so far, but each week has really challenged me.
I won’t go into all the thoughts running through my brain right now. I will share that the topics we’ve covered in this study to date are love, forgiveness, and humility.
The study has a video component that we watch in a large group. And, there are small group discussion questions that help participants solidify what they’ve been learning about themselves in the preceding week of individual study. I love the journal book with space to record thoughts on the Scripture read. Jeff Cavins is quite engaging in his presentations on the DVD.
I am looking forward to digging deeper and hope to share my thoughts on each topic as I am able. This has been a fantastic Catholic study and I suspect our MOMS group will be considering the second one in the series for the future.
