Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every year it seems like health care costs are skyrocketing.  Even those of us with ‘good’ insurance are feeling the pinch and looking for ways to stretch our dollars in this part of our budget.

Why not save money on needed medications with the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club?

Right now they are offering a special rate of $35 per year to cover everyone in your immediate family.  That’s you, a spouse, all of your dependent children ages 22 and younger.  They’ll even cover your pets!  If it is just you, the cost is $20 as an individual.

What does this get you?

Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
-Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
-Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services

I have to admit that I could have used this years ago when we had a ho-hum insurance plan that did not provide any prescription coverage.  I still remember having sticker shock getting the prescription for my inhaler filled and having to pay $40.  Granted, I wanted one on hand so it was there when needed.  But, it was hard to fork over that cash when non-prescription inhalers (that didn’t work as well) cost far less.

You can find Walgreens on Facebook and Walgreens on Twitter to stay abreast of different promotions.

  1. Insurance is important when you go at world travel. Travel insurance is a particular types of policy which is made for special reasons to protect us while traveling because unwanted situation can be come anytime, it does not need any requirements to come.

  2. Despite having three expensive health care years in a row, I’m betting on 2018 being different. So, during our open enrollment I chose the high deductible plan with an HSA. I’ll be paying $140 a month less for insurance withe the HDHP, yet that extra will go into the HSA. I’m hoping I don’t lose on this bet. It’s only one year, and then I can go back if I need to, right?
