Taking in Gorgeous Views of Denali from Talkeetna
One of the things that is nice about visiting Talkeetna is that on a clear day you get some of the best views of Denali (aka Mt. McKinley).
We were blessed with one of those gorgeous, sunny days when visiting on August day.

Walking away from downtown Talkeetna, you’ll pass through a small parking lot for the riverfront area. Before reaching the water, you will walk across a sandy area.
My youngest son was intrigued as we rarely see sand like this up here.

Be forewarned…this river has fast-moving water and you do NOT want to fall into it!

No matter how many times I view the mountains around here, I never ceased to be impressed by their majesty.

When you go traveling, do you take time to admire the natural beauty around you?

I would love to go to Denali. Mount McKinley always looks so great.
Just gorgeous!!! We recently visited the Grand Canyon. We don’t travel much at all, so this was a very special treat. I have to say I was stunned at the beauty. No picture or movie that I have seen comes near to capturing the breathtaking beauty.
That is how I feel about some of our travels around Alaska, Laurie! My point and shoot camera just can NOT capture what my eyes see.
