Safety on Disney+: The Importance of Family
This post about Safety on Disney+ with a review was made possible with advance screener access to the show. All opinions are our own.
Stories can tell us so much about life.
Sports themed stories are a favorite vehicle for telling us stories surrounding teams.
But, sometimes those sports themed stories go further.

Saftey on Disney+ is one that has the involvement of sports, but is also about the importance of family.
About Safety
“Safety” is a drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves), a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities.

Aided by his teammates and the Clemson community, he succeeds on the field while simultaneously raising and caring for his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr (Thaddeus J. Mixson).
“Safety” premieres on Friday, December 11, streaming only on Disney+.

Our Thoughts on the Movie
This movie has ALL the feels in it.
If the story was just about a guy who worked hard to make a life for himself, it would be a good movie.
But, Safety goes beyond the locker room and team building of some sports themed movies.
The focus is really upon family.
The bond between brothers who need each other.
And the family who adopts you (in this case Ray’s team mates, coaches, and others from Clemson.)
If you want a movie that will leave you feeling good and inspired to do better, make time to watch Safety once it releases on Disney+.
