A Few Tips For Making Pork Tenderloin in the Air Fryer

When should I roast the garlic for the sauce?

It is more efficient to roast the garlic ahead of time so the sauce can be prepared while the tenderloin is in the air fryer.
However, you can also roast the garlic at the same time, and then prepare the sauce while the pork rests.

Can I roast the garlic while cooking the pork?

It is more efficient to roast the garlic ahead of time so the sauce can be prepared while the tenderloin is in the air fryer.
However, you can also roast the garlic at the same time, and then prepare the sauce while the pork rests.
Simply cut off the top of the head of garlic, brush with olive oil, and wrap in aluminum foil before placing into the air fryer basket along with the pork and potatoes.

Which Air Fryer was used in this recipe?

Great question! Each unit is a little different for timing, so make sure to read your unit’s instructions.
This recipe’s instructions are for the Ninja AG301 Foodi 5-in-1 Indoor Grill / Air Fryer.
Sometimes you can find a refurbished one on Amazon for a little less money.
The nice thing about this unit is that you can do more than air fry your food.
The roast feature is awesome when you want something warm without warming up the kitchen by using the oven.

Can this be made gluten-free?

Absolutely! Just substitute your favorite gluten-free flour or flour blend to make it.
I always keep a bag of King Arthur Measure for Measure on hand as it serves as an all-purpose flour.

How do I know the pork is properly cooked?

Experts agree that a safe cooking temperature for pork tenderloin is 145°F. You can remove it from the air fryer when it reaches just above 140°F as the temperature will continue to rise several degrees while the pork rests.

Do you have a favorite thermometer for checking temperatures?

YES!
An instant-read thermometer is a must to make sure that your pork has reached the desired internal temperature.
Our family has a bright red instant-read thermometer that is also magnetic.
The probe folds into the plastic casing. Then we store it on our refrigerator so it is ready to go when needed.
It works great and is definitely preferred over the more traditional thermometer options.
