Alaska State Fair 2011
This year, the boys and I made the trek up to Palmer for the first day of the fair. Those discount admission tickets are quite appealing and I had a very specific reason for going. It was all about the big building of vendors and the knowledge of the cable company offering a great incentive package for switching AT the fair. At the moment, the cable company offers a higher amount of internet usage for the same price we were paying through the phone company. As homeschooling and blogging efforts had us tapping out our bandwidth some of those months. Receiving some free services and credits towards future cable bills was icing on the cake. So, once we got inside, that is where we headed right away.
We did take time this year to visit the animal and vegetable exhibits. J found it interesting to see some of those animals up close. P decided roosters are too loud for him, so we skipped seeing the rabbits. And, all the boys found the HUGE vegetables neat to see.
I am not sure if we’ll be at the Alaska State Fair again this coming August. But, I sure am looking forward to warmer weather right now!
Museum of the North in Fairbanks, coming soon!
