When I attended Type A Parent this past October, it was held at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead Atlanta. It was my first time staying at at Grand Hyatt and I was quite impressed.
This facility isn’t brand new, but everything is maintained. The staff are also very welcoming and eager to help you enjoy your stay.
The room I was in had 2 double beds along with a small sitting area with 2 comfortable chairs. An alcove area contained a small desk perfect for doing a bit of work.
Finally, the small dry bar area was a welcome feature. While we did not utilize the small coffee pot, my roommates and I did use the small refrigerator.
Many of the meals during the conference were included. Even the basic bagged sandwich lunches had touches to make it more than just a sandwich and bag of chips (which were included!)
For dining, there were options in the hotel as well as a variety of restaurants within short walking distance. The hotel also operates a shuttle service during set hours which can net you a ride if walking seems too daunting.
I will say that the one downside to my stay was a persistent headache from allergy issues. There were a few others experiencing the same issue, so I’m not sure Using peppermint essential oil helped me immensely. Yet, overall, I would definitely head back for another stay.
Here’s my video walk through the room:
