I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.

When the weather keeps us indoors, I like to have options for things we can do. Watching a movie as a family is one activity that the boys enjoy. One rainy afternoon recently had me pop Max 2: White House Hero into our Blu-ray player.

About Max 2: White House Hero

Duty calls again, and our hero dog Max returns to action in “Max 2: White House Hero.”

His new assignment brings him to Washington, D.C. to serve on the U.S. president’s Secret Service detail.

When a foreign leader arrives with his precocious daughter Alex (Francesca Capaldi), tensions arise between both countries.

First Son TJ (Zane Austin), along with Max and Alex, uncover a dangerous plot that puts both kids and both nations in jeopardy.

A highly-sensitive mission will push Max’s specialized skills, intelligence and loyalty to the test.

Our Thoughts on Max 2: White House Hero

You will get a different response in our house based on who you ask. My 7-year-old son LOVED the film. He was eager for me to use the digital code to get it ready for watching on the iPad.

Now, my older boys didn’t see but snippets. That was their choice as the theme just did not appeal to their teenaged sensibilities.

One of the things that we liked from the film was showing how quickly a boy and dog can bond. Plus, we talked about how being the child of someone ‘famous’ or in a position of power can make for a lonely life. This is what things were like for TJ as he tries to acclimate to life in the White House.

I should share that while Max the dog carries over from the original Max movie, the other characters and the setting are completely different. So, in some ways it is a stand alone film. And, it really is geared more towards elementary to pre-teen kids.
