Adore Me Review: Beautiful Lingerie and Sleepwear

When was the last time you bought some new lingerie to make you feel extra special or sleepwear that felt luxurious?

For some of us with multiple kids, it might have been a long, long time.  Like back when we were getting married say 20 years ago. Oh, wait, I was gifted that lingerie… yikes!!

Seriously, it is very easy for those of us with kids to skimp on things for us so the family has more resources available. But, where that logic can get a little faulty is that having something nice for ourselves which our husbands enjoy seeing us wear IS of benefit for the whole family.

I’ve been on a path of seeking growth in my marital relationship and having something to wear which I love and my husband adores is on the list of things to do NOW instead of waiting for the weight to fly off my body or to somehow magically rewind the clock. I can’t go back like that, but I can take steps walking forward to the goal of building intimacy and making sure to have some nice things for ourselves.

 

Adore Me Review: What is It?

Adore Me is the new approach to shopping for lingerie online from the comfort of your home.  They have items sizes from petite to plus with options for nearly every size range. (Note ~ read the sizing chart well as their sizes run smaller than most clothing options.)

Something that is unique to Adore Me is that they have a new collection released at the start of each month. Many of those selections fit with the current season or holiday.

Right now there are a lot of deep reds as well as black options, both perfect for Christmas and New Year’s.  You’ll find current, fashion forward styles for both lingerie and sleepwear available for purchase by both one time shoppers and their “VIP members”.

What’s VIP Membership?

Adore Me’s VIP Subscription offers the ease of bringing a new selection into your home each month, with the bonus of YOU picking what it is. 

On the 6th of each month, you are automatically charged $39.95 for a matching set from Adore Me’s new collection each month.

However, there is flexibility built into the system!  You can simply click ‘skip’ on your account dashboard between the 1st and 5th of the month and the charge will not go through. Or, you can refund your charge in one click on your dashboard within 30 days. Otherwise, the $39.95 becomes a credit on your account which you can use towards a new set of lingerie.

Beyond the ease of purchase, VIP Membership also gives you $10 off any style at any time.  After purchasing 5 sets, you get one free. They provide free shipping and exchanges. And, there are some VIP only sales and sets.

My Thoughts: Adore Me Review

As someone who can be overwhelmed by too many choices, I like that Adore Me switches out sets each month. There was still plenty to pick from on the website, but I didn’t have to wade through hundreds of items.

You can search by size to see what is available.  I LOVE that feature as it is always disappointing to stumble across what you love and discover that your size isn’t an option.

Free shipping was offered even to Alaska where I am. That is a huge bonus to me as so many companies will charge 2 to 3 times the shipping compared to the contiguous United States.

The items I ordered were well constructed instead of looking cheap or flimsy. 

I can’t say the same for stuff I have looked at in the stores and elected to not purchase.  Even the packaging had a nice touch to it with everything encased in tissue paper wrapping. 

Plus, they provided a small catalog of featured items so you can start planning what you might want to order next.

For this review, I selected Matilda, a simple black pajama set which has white piping for a bit of contrast.

The fabric is incredibly smooth and feels luxurious on my skin.  Most of the time I am completely covered up in flannel pjs which might have a cute factor, but lack any real visual appeal for my husband.

Additionally, I decided to bring a little ‘heat’ to the bedroom with Rita, a corset set, something I’ve considered for a while but never felt brave enough to order and try on.

It is taking a little getting used to and required some assistance from my helpful husband to get just right.  I think it will be something fun to pull out, especially for special date nights.

Now I am eagerly anticipating what sets they will be releasing soon for Valentine’s Day. Alternatively, I may try ordering one of their bra and panty sets. They really do have a lot of options. Once you get a taste of Adore Me, you may be longing for more….
