I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Advent finished quickly for us with some last minute shopping trips with my husband, a whole lot of gift wrapping, and then a family focused Christmas Day with Mass late in the morning. Amazingly, the boys did not put up a stink about no XBOX 360 on Christmas even though they received some new games on Christmas. I turned off my laptop on Christmas Eve in the afternoon and did not fire it back up until Friday.
Maybe next year I’ll turn off my phone, too. After all, going off the ‘grid’ and spending time with family is a wonderful thing. (And for the record, I did not spend all day on my phone checking Facebook! But, I’ll admit to putting up a few photos via Instagram.)
This year I’ve decided to share a few posts from the previous week’s link up. I’m going to share the most visited post and a personal favorite (or two.)
The most visited post spot this week was Christmas Candle Scriptures anchor post. I have enjoyed reading through most of her reflections this Advent.
I had a hard time picking a favorite from the list, so instead I am highlighting 2 of them.
Our Family’s Twelve Days of Christmas at at Homeschool Coffee Break showed how you can easily come up with fun, inexpensive activities for the family to spend time together.
Mary’s Yes at Voted Off the Island got me ruminating more about how difficult it truly is to say yes to God and how Mary is a wonderful example of putting all your trust in Him.
Did you have a Merry Christmas this past week?
How are you continuing to celebrate during the Christmas season?

If joining us on the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme, please link directly to your post. Every week we will link up and share what we are doing, learning or how we celebrate the birth of our Lord. You are more than welcome to link up to more than one post each week if you’ve written multiple posts on the topic of Christmas and growing closer to Christ.
