40 Days of Seeking Him in Lent 2013 ~ Week Five

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Week 5 of Lent 2013 is here and the Holy Week will be here before we know it.  40 Days of Seeking HimWith the time change this weekend, we opted to attend Mass last night.  It was nice to have a short visit with a few families we do not always see on the weekend.  And, I came home to the older boys making dinner for us.

I’ve been negligent with my personal blogging this Lent.  Part of it has been upheaval in my personal life where emotions are raw enough that it would be hard to know what to share and what I should not share.  So, I’ve been immersed in prayer and reflection rather than writing for the world.  However, I do have a few Lenten themed posts coming this week that I hope will resonate with others.

All Christian bloggers are invited to share their Lenten themed blog posts in the weekly link-up.   Once again I am honored to be joining my sister in Christ, Trish, from A House Upon the Rock for this special meme. The linky is set weekly, but feel free to share more than once each week if you are blogging about it that often. May our choices during Lent help to lead us closer to the Lord and through participation in this meme help to encourage other Christians in their own walk. Got a great devotional to share? Link it up! Struck by a particular Scripture or song? Share it with us! Just posted a family favorite meatless dish on your blog? Definitely send it our way!

Please feel free to join once a week, every day, or as many times as you are able. If you post more than once, add each link to the link-up.   We will not have new link-ups each day, only once a week (every Sunday evening a new link-up will start).   Thank you for joining!

  1. I’ve been trying to stay in the spirit of lent by reading blog posts, devotionals, and Bible passages. I appreciate the blog posts because they come by email and remind me to get in the word.

    1. Pamela,

I know that I can use pretty much any reminder to get in the Word that comes my way. Life can be so hectic that it’s easy to push it aside for ‘later’. Now if I can find enough time to write all that is on my heart.
