I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This past year saw me branching out more from mostly homeschool related reviews. One of the things I was excited about were the addition or more posts that could be considered ‘style’. What follows are the top fashion and beauty posts in 2015 for the blog, based on pageviews.
One of the challenges to having really long hair is that you need a variety of ways to pull it UP when the weather gets hot. This post showed one of my quick methods for doing just that while adding a bit of volume to my thinning hair.
2015 is a year where I started to do more collaborations with other bloggers when it came to generating what is coined ‘evergreen’ content. The monthly StyleHOP is one of those efforts which challenged me to do more fashion and beauty posts here on Day by Day in Our World. Be on the lookout for more monthly posts (January through November) here on the blog.
This review post was done as a favor to a friend who had just started with the company as a consultant. I far prefer supporting organizations like this one which offer a great product and help women across the globe. With cooler weather, the scarf is being employed more by me and I still adore that necklace.
Earlier in 2015, I discovered several fashion link ups including Turning Heads Tuesday hosted by Jess from Elegantly Dressed and Stylish. I was thrilled to be a co-host with her for this post and love seeing the outfits she pulls together on her blog.
I was tickled to be on this particular campaign and totally adore the items I received for review. The black sweater has seen a LOT of wear this past month, sometimes with my plaid skirt as shown in this post. What I need to do next is set a date night with my husband to wear the gorgeous red blouse.
I am still in love with the gorgeous bead necklace I was sent to review and giveaway. After years of almost no jewelry and living in the homeschool mom uniform of jeans and a tshirt or sweatshirt, I am really embracing dressing up just a notch.
This one didn’t have me modeling the items, but it was still fun for me. Since posting the review, I’ve made use of their exchange system and was quite pleased at how easy Adore Me makes it to return and replace something that didn’t fit correctly.
I preplanned by purchasing this gorgeous set on sale back when Spring Fashionista was going on. Since I already had it in house, I decided to join a smaller giveaway hop to get more eyes on this giveaway. Seeing how well this went, I’ll be on the lookout for other fabulous items to do more self-hosted giveaways to bless more readers.
This was the last biannual fashionista giveaway event and I’ll admit that I do sort of miss it. Obviously, many of you enjoy the chance to win something pretty for yourself. (I do, too!!)
This was definitely a fun post to pull together. A few of the photos were snapped by my then 11 year old son as no one else was available!
