1 Minute Parenting Animations To Improve Communication With Your Teen

This post on 1 Minute Parenting Animations To Improve Communication With Your Teen is part of a sponsored campaign for the Center for Parent and Teen Communication. All opinions are my own.

Have you ever wished someone would speak to you in simple terms on ways you can improve communication with your teen?

I know that I always appreciate it.

The Center for Parent and Teen Communication (CPTC) has made it their mission to help parents raise teens who are prepared to thrive. This is done by equipping parents with knowledge and skills that promote positive development and strong family connections.

They offer six 1-minute parenting animations that help parents consider better ways to communicate with their teens.

Monitor Your Teen is the video that spoke the most to me. Because I want to know what my teen is doing and be ready to support him.

The video reinforced the need to not badger teens with 20 questions.

Listening with full attention when speaking to them.

That means putting my phone away so I am not ‘multi-tasking’ and only half-listening.

My teen is mostly at home these days. He often spends hours on devices in his room connecting with friends, whether chatting or talking about a show they’ve all watched.

I know these things because he has told me.
