Yanni’s Truth of Touch, a review
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I enjoy music, whether I’m playing, singing or just listening to someone else. While I have favorite artists and albums, I enjoy the opportunity to listen to new works.
Yanni is not a new to me artist. But, it had escaped my notice that he had not had a new instrumental album with original compositions in approximately 8 years. That spell is now over with the release of Truth of Touch.
The songs on this album invoke a sense of peace and calm, but not in a ‘put you to sleep’ kind of way. Although, I could picture myself drifting a bit if it was playing while I was the recipient of a great massage.
Where can I envision enjoying this album?
…a long soak in the tub with this album playing in the background.
…using it as a backdrop for tasks that require visual attention (such as writing blog posts!)
… playing it while the boys are doing some of their work as music often helps them drown out the little noises that can distract.
… having it as a backdrop to dinner, so conversation can flow with the music setting the tone.
You can read more about Yanni’s work on his website. A 40 city tour was kicked off a few weeks ago, with the schedule posted on the Yanni website.
Truth of Touch retails for $14.99 on CD (available at major retailers or online) or $9.99 for mp3 download.
