The O Boys Speak Up on Homeschooling

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This week for the TOS Blog Cruise, the question(s) to answer are for the kids!  They are boys of few words, though.

Why does your family Homeschool?

P:  Dad thinks public schools are bad for you.

R: Because at schools they don’t teach you as much stuff.

D:  cause i don’t want to go to school

What is your favorite part of homeschooling?

P: Sleeping in.

R: Mom will let me redo some of my work and get some points back if I get them right.

D: math

What do you want to be when you grow up?

P: A Green Beret!

R: I want to join the Coast Guard or some other military service.

D: in the Navy. (Although he first said dentist…interesting as he has a bunch of cavities that need filling.)

I knew they wouldn’t say much and I can’t say that I’m surprised by most of their responses.  For the record, we believe that God called us to homeschool, at this point in time, after P had struggles in school that his teacher dismissed as not being problems.

  1. Great to read your kids' responses! Sleeping in is a great bonus. I like it because my kids can sleep in and I can get up early and enjoy the quiet before they arise! LOL! Thanks for participating this week!

  2. I did a Q&A post with my boys about workboxes- they were pretty to the point with their answers as well. I remember thinking that my girls would have given me a novel! Fun post. 🙂 It is nice to hear for the kids too.
