Sabadil® by Boiron, a review & giveaway

For years, I have battled allergies.  While a child living on the Mississippi coast, I was visiting the allergist weekly to be desensitized to many of the environmental allergies that plagued me.  Life is NOT good when your body reacts to almost anything that grows!
As an adult, I continue to be plagued by allergy problems. While I was optimistically hoping to get a break from allergies after moving across the country, that is not proving to be the case.  Instead, I was surprised when break up happened last year and my allergies went nuts.  The melting snow reveals mold in whatever leaves remained on the ground last fall as well as the pulverization of pebbles used on the roads.  Dust and mold have always been big triggers for me, so it was no shock to realize they’d have the same effect up here.
With a desire to break free from more potent allergy medications, I jumped at the chance to review Sabadil® by Boiron.
This homeopathic medicine helps to minimize symptoms such as itchy eyes and nose or sneezing.  The substances present are not known to interact with other medications and they do not cause any negative side-effects like drowsiness.  Add in that they are supposed to just dissolve in your mouth and there seems to be little negative about this product.
The box says to take 2 tablets upon first signs of allergy symptoms, followed at 15 minute intervals at first and then done 3 times per day while symptoms persist.
My personal experience with this is mixed. I started taking the medicine as directed when the first twitch of allergies appeared.  And, for the first few days it seemed to be working for me.  However, I will admit that once my allergies kicked into high gear, I was reaching for my usual over the counter medication.  I suspect part of the issue is ‘user error’ as I sometimes realized at bedtime that I’d only taken 2 doses during the day instead of 3.  While taking something 3 times a day does not seem that cumbersome, it definitely is more challenging than the once a day medication I usually take.  I can say that for a mild flare up, I would prefer this over the more potent options.  So, I might be offering it as a solution when my teen has allergy problems appear.  Or, I might use it with the other medication to help curb things faster.
You can find Sabadil® either online or at some local merchants.  They offer a find a store option on the Boiron website to see your best choice for purchasing.  When I put in our zip code, I found that there are two natural food stores in Anchorage that sell the product.  The retail price for a 60 count package is listed on websites as $10.99.  However, I noticed a few online vendors discounting the cost.
