Making Memories at Cub Scout Camp

A few weeks ago, D attended Cub Scout Summer Camp for the last time. Around February this coming year, he’ll be ‘done’ with the Cub Scout adventure. Whether he’ll move up to Boy Scouts is still to be decided.
While I popped into camp at night most days to help give the dads a break, I was able to get one of the dad’s to snap some photos from during the day for me, too.
Camp always ends with skits and songs around a campfire. There’s been several burn bans here in Alaska this summer as it has been ‘hot’ and dry. But, for that last campfire, the ban had been lifted so the boys could have the full experience.
Enjoy the singing!
Did you attend summer camp as a child? Any favorite memories?
Do your kids go to summer camp?

I attended cub scouts as a child and enjoyed it very much. We did so much stuff and had lots of fun. Good for the kids today too
My son just got back from the Boy Scout National Jamboree and had a blast! He was gone for 10 days over 10 hours away from home, and I don’t think he missed us at all. Boy Scouts has been amazing for my son, and much more fun than Cub Scouts. He has grown and matured so much, and since we homeschool it has provided him with a great group of friends he sees regularly. Hope you can find a good troop near you for your son.
My little brother was a cub scout and beaver back in the day. It’s a great organization as long as you trust all the leaders.
