Keeping Romance Alive this Holiday Season
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Quick word of warning ~ This post contains links to a website that is meant for adults and NOT children’s eyes. So, while the content here is quite family friendly, be careful of who is around when clicking.
Mr. O and I have been married for just over 16 years now. We knew each other for 4 years before taking our vows before God, family and friends. So, there are days when I find us slipping into the comfortable, taking the other person for granted mode. One area of our relationship that gets more overlooked is intimacy.
I’ve reviewed a few books this past year that talked about strengthening your marital relationship on many levels. However, with Christmas coming soon, I’m now thinking I need some more practical items to help keep the romance alive in our house.
Edenfantasys is a website that has quite a few products available to meet that goal. Some products are not ones I would personally order, which my youngest sister would say is my inner prude showing.
However, I was quite pleased to discover that they have quite a few things Mr. O and I can enjoy as a couple.
My big dilemma at the moment is whether I need a some new lingerie to wear (which is a big question mark given how cold Alaska is most of the year), a few candles to help establish a more romantic environment, or possibly the massage oil kit for the all powerful bonding effect a simple touch.
Whichever item or group of items I select, I’m hoping to bring a smile to Mr. O’s face come Christmas morning and many days to come. Marriage is work and I intend to pay a little more attention to the need for intimacy in our relationship.

I love EdenFantasys. It is a great thing for marriages. My hubby and I have been together for almost 19 years.
It’s amazing sometimes how just buying a little something can really change your mindset. You buy a candle to up the romance a little, a nice one instead of Glade fresh-linen-reminds-me-of-laundry-day scent. Then, because you *know* it’s a hint at romance, it puts you in that frame of mind when you light it. Those little things can really make a difference in your relationship. It doesn’t take a perfect figure and a rockin’ lingerie set – just some little “special” things that are out of the ordinary, to make life a little more exciting 🙂 Great post.
I would probably go with the massage oil kit! I’m a practical kind of girl, and the oils are really great for your skin. Yes, I know, they’re meant for something a little more…uh, passionate… than moisturizing your skin, but like I said, I’m practical! LOL. Candles are always romantic though!
