Hot Apple Punch: Easy and Delicious Party Option

Hot Apple Punch can be made with or without the addition of rum, making it an easy and delicious party option for any occasion.

Apple cider is one of those warm drinks that always seems to hit the spot, especially in the colder months. But sometimes, you just want something a little different. That’s where hot apple punch comes in. It’s easy to make and perfect for a party. Are you ready to give it a try?

2 glasses of hot apple punch with fruit slices on top. Slices of orange sit to the side and a bowl of apples is in the background.

Making this beverage to enjoy at home or for a party is super simple.

Gathering together the ingredients takes very little time.

Most of your time is spent measuring liquid and slicing up the fruit.

This recipe was written to be made on the stove. You can modify it for a slow cooker if you’d like to have it simmering longer. I would recommend about 2 hours on low to fully warm the beverage.

A bonus for using a slow cooker is that you can more easily keep things warm during a party.

For a crowd, you will need to adjust the measurements as this original recipe using 4 cups of apple juice will serve 4 to 6 people. (If it is made as an adult beverage with rum, then the total servings leans towards 6.

Choosing Apples for the Punch

There are so many different types of apples out there, it can be hard to know which one to choose for adding to this punch.

But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Here are four different apple varieties that are perfect choices:

  1. Granny Smith apples are tart and juicy, making them a great addition to any punch. Plus, their bright green color is sure to add a pop of color to your drink.
  2. Honeycrisp apples are another great option for punch. They’re slightly sweeter than Granny Smith apples, so they’ll help to balance out the tartness of the other ingredients in your punch.
  3. Golden Delicious apples are another good choice for punch. They have a slightly floral flavor that will add a unique dimension to your drink.
  4. Finally, Braeburn apples are a good option if you’re looking for something a little different. They have a slightly spicy flavor that will give your punch some kick.

So there you have it – four different types of apples that will help you make the perfect punch.

My personal choice is to use more than one variety of apple in the punch. This leads to a complexity of flavor and a wonderful pop of color.
