Finally joining the blogging world!
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
After reading other blogs over the past few years, I am finally taking a plunge. While I am doing this in part to join the fun, I also hope to have a place where friends and family can keep up to date on what we are doing.
Today was a glorious day outside – sunny and highs in the 60’s. So, some of the schoolwork got pushed aside so the boys could have outdoor time. There is a new park with tons of playground equipment not too far from our home. We met up with a few other homeschool families and soaked in the sun.
I suspect that we will need to put our noses to the grindstone if we want to finish by Memorial Day. For one son, that will be a TALL order as it is. The other is cruising through his essential schoolwork and occasionally finding things to *add* to his checklist. Youngest son is pre-K and given his fall birthday would not be allowed to enroll in kindergarten this fall. Good thing we homeschool as he is already doing so much preK and even kindergarten stuff when the whim strikes him.
Dinnertime is beckoning, but I hope to post some pictures soon. And to share what we’ve been doing for school this year. This mama loves to learn, so I often over plan what the boys might like. Some things have been tabled for later and others tossed out the window. But, for now I’d better see why it smells like something burning!
