Louisiana Children’s Museum in New Orleans

While we were in Louisiana, the boys and I headed into the central business district of New Orleans for a day at the Louisiana Children’s Museum. 

They are on the reciprocal list for science centers we were given when joining the Anchorage Museum.  I suspect we were their first visiting family from Alaska, or at least the first in a while.  I wasn’t sure if there would be things for the older boys to enjoy, but that concern was wiped away within minutes of entering the building.

Fitness Focused Exhibit

Just after we walked into the museum, there was a exhibit on fitness that captured the attention of all the boys.

Hands On Physics with Fetch

From there we walked to an exhibit with Fetch! as host where the kids had fun learning about physics in a hands-on manner.

Heading upstairs, there was an area for kids up to age 3 that Little J enjoyed for a while.

Then, it was time to shop for groceries….

and visit the cafe…

New Orleans “Proud To Call It Home”

This was one area I would have spent more time in if lunch wasn’t starting to beckon.

They had plenty of hands on learning about architecture.

We ‘ran’ through an exhibit focused on eyes
