I have to admit that I am still enjoying watching the When Calls the Heart series. The latest 2 episode disc to be released (and sent to me for review) is When Calls the Heart: Second Chances.
About When Calls the Heart: Second Chances
As Elizabeth and Jack fight to restore their relationship, she searches for ways to help one of her older students learn how to read. This includes learning how to give an intelligence test (which Elizabeth first tests on Jack!)
Meanwhile, Adam Miller, lone survivor of the mine accident, struggles to adjust to his new disability. With so many difficult changes affecting the community, can Elizabeth create a Founder’s Day play that will spark hope in everybody’s hearts?

My Thoughts on When Calls the Heart: Second Chances
Like the others before this one, I loved the glimpse into frontier life in the mining town. You can see how self-sufficient the people needed to be as the big city was a distance away. But, that doesn’t mean that the community can not rally behind its members whether a man returning with a life altering disability or a widow entering the world of business.
And, as always, it is fun to see the burgeoning romance between Elizabeth and Jack. You’ll learn about a few talents that Jack possesses, but wants to keep hidden from Elizabeth as he’d rather use them to help her without her knowing who the anonymous person is.
Do you enjoy family friendly shows like this one which also blends a glimpse into history?
