Bring the Studio to You with YogaDownload

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This post, Bring the Studio to You with YogaDownload, was made possible by Blogger Babes and contains affiliate links. I received a complimentary subscription of the YogaDownload service in exchange for my honest review. Thoughts are 100% my own.

When it comes to fitness, your body needs a multi-pronged approach.

While it is easy to focus on aerobic activities and weight lifting, spending time on routines that help to lengthen your muscles while strengthening and working on your balance is important.

Yoga provides all of that and is something that I like to incorporate on a regular basis.

I recently started incorporating routines from YogaDownload.com. There are plans which are as low as $7.50 a month when you prepay for 6 or 12 months.

Membership options allow you to stream unlimited routines from over 1,000 classes.

Plus, you can pick a few from their YogaDownload brand classes to download to your computer or another compatible device to use when you are offline.

Using YogaDownload

Finding something that will work for you isn’t the problem.

Rather, you can find it overwhelming when searching for a routine to try. I made use of the search by focus or yoga style and then narrowed it down by level and length of the workout.

A few years ago, I was in good shape and could handle a more advanced class. For now, I am working on regaining what was lost and stick with beginner classes.

When I clicked through to Yoga Style, I can find all the workouts of interest to me under Beginner Yoga.

Many of the beginner programs I have enjoyed start with gentle floor work.

One of the workouts that called to me is Sunset Flow with Elise Fabricant.

It is described as a great workout to help you relax at the end of a busy day. While my days are not as stressful as some, I do find that too much sitting at the computer has me stiff.

This workout was perfect to help me release tension and get ready for a good night’s sleep. The use of live guitar, by Bett Randell, added to the overall relaxing atmosphere.

Gentle Twists are great for relaxing.

For someone who has been away from yoga or never really tried, I highly recommend some of their beginner classes like Introduction to Down Dog and Sun Salutations with Kristen Boyle.

Like any form of exercise, you need to have good form and these classes help you get it.

Gentle Hatha Yoga 6 – Relax & Renew with Jackie Casal Mahrou is one that I worked my up to doing.

It’s an hour-long class, but works at a comfortable pace with poses that are not too challenging for me.

Rather than do routines on my own the YogaDownload videos help me stay focused and remember proper form.

What I found after a few weeks of using the service is that they also have classes for kids!  My 6-year-old is more than willing to join me in some of my yoga routines. These are customized to be fun for the kids and get them used to different poses.

I know that I like being able to preview something before I commit to a purchase of any sort.

Here is a short snippet from one of their routines, Ben Davis Class – Body Awakening Flow.

Overall, this is a wonderful resource for people who want to incorporate a variety of yoga styles and do so wherever they are.

As much as I have loved the times I go to a yoga class at the nearby studio, the cost can really add up.  Plus, there is the time lost traveling to and from the class.

YogaDownload.com is quite affordable and with the ability to download a few of their classes each month it can go with me on the road.
