Back when D was a babe, we were introduced to the idea of soft sole shoes. I ordered a pair that he wore for a while, but then switched to harder soled shoes when he starting walking around a year old. J used that same pair as a babe plus another pair I managed to find at a resale shop. But, finding a larger size in a store up here was challenging.
Now we’ve had the opportunity to try a new line of soft sole shoes for little feet… Boumy Shoes! The Dutch company’s line of shoes has just entered the US and Canada market online this year. And from what I’ve seen, they make a nice addition to the marketplace.
We had the largest size (XL or a size 7 toddler shoe) sent to us as J’s feet are growing and starting to fit into a size 7 sneaker. The big boys picked out the print…camouflage.
J was excited to test out his new shoes.
Since he still tries to curl his toes, they took a minute to put on both shoes. But, he loved them from the start.
I’ll admit that given the rough rock drive in our backyard, he’s only used them for around the house. The work far better than most slippers as elastic around the opening helps to keep them on his feet. I feel better that he won’t accidentally step on something with his bare feet while downstairs. Mr. O still has a few ‘construction’ items down there for the bathroom remodel and J is rather quick to investigate areas he should not be investigating. Now I can rest assured that he has some protection for his feet while not feeling encumbered with a regular pair of shoes.
All in all, these are stylish shoes that allow for moderate expression of personality when desired and they possess a great leather composition to work well with a very active toddler.
The camouflage patter is just one of a few dozen options on the Boumy website. You can search by gender on the site to find the perfect pair for your little guy or gal. The shoes retail for $32 plus shipping.
One redemption per customer, only. You can also find Boumy on Facebook.
