40 Days of Seeking Him Lent 2016 Week 5
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Ah, the changing of the clocks…
Is anyone else feeling exhausted yet?
This morning and afternoon find me busy with my son’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor. So, no long reflection for today. Even though I have a LOT of notes and thoughts after last night’s homily at church.

I will share a few of the posts linked up this past week.
The post with the most clicks over was The Magic Piano by A.J. Avila at Reflections on My Catholic Journey.
It is one that spoke to me as well as I believe that through the work of the Holy Spirit we can do things we thought impossible. And, I wish I had a magic piano where I could sound great all the time.
There were 2 others that were close to tying for highest views and both really spoke to me this past week.
Carrie shared Mocha, Mercy and Mondays: The Spiritual Works of Mercy over at Prayer Wine Chocolate.
I enjoyed this post in part because the Corporal Works of Mercy (feed the hungry, etc.) tend to get more of our focus. If you are unfamiliar with the Spiritual Works of Mercy, then definitely take the time to read. But, even those of us familiar with them might find something worthwhile to read.
And, my other post to highlight is on a topic which at times is on my heart – envy. Carolyn at Carolyn Astfalk shared a post titled The Wearin’ O’ the Green: Envy.
With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, there’s a lot of chatter of green. I even have a few fashion posts here on the blog showing me sneaking in a bit of green or coming up with an outfit around a green sweater. But, the green of envy is NOT something we should be seeking to wear. Yet, many of us allow it to sneak up on us and take hold. Many thanks to Carolyn for a wonderful post on the topic which was timely for me.
Thank you to all who left links last week. I can not wait to see what people are writing and sharing this coming week as we work our way quickly to Holy Week.

We are expanding the platform for this meme to include a 40 Days of Seeking Him Pinterest board for submitted posts and a Facebook group. I hope that you’ll check out the Pinterest board and join us on Facebook, too, as we seek to grow closer to Christ.
