Fun in the Outdoors in Winter

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

If there is one thing you are guaranteed when living in Alaska, it is that you’ll have more than your fair share of winter weather.  Snow, ice, and temperatures that dip well below zero are practically commonplace.

Many of the areas in South Central Alaska have had far more snow falling than usual, so the boys have been able to enjoy playing in the snow.

I hope you enjoy these photos I’ve snapped thus far.  Hopefully, I’ll have more to share as they’ve taken to digging snow caves now.

  1. Fun photos Laura! I hear your area of the world is having record snow fall this year! Here in NC we’re quite warm by comparison. it is 28 tonight, but it was 65 four nights ago! Would it be too cruel to post photos?

    1. Diane,

We are having record snowfalls this year. At least we aren’t as bad off as Valdez and Cordova where they are shoveling roof tops and paying $20 an hour to able bodied adults willing to shovel.

As for being cruel, I hear all about the weather in New Orleans area from my mom. What has the natives there running for coats is the same temperatures that my boys want to run outside with short sleeves.

  2. Great looking digital scrapbook pages. I have entered to win this twice now. I did not win the first time. I entered again. I hope I win. I really cannot afford to buy this right now… but have wanted a digital scrapbook program for a while. I have been doing regular scrapbooking for years now.
