40 Days of Seeking Him 2011 ~ Day 24

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

At Mass on Sunday, the Gospel reading was about the blind man who’s vision was restored by Jesus. We had a visiting priest and unfortunately the sound was not cooperating for him.  But, I did get tidbits from his homily, including the fact that the Gospel showed both physical blindness (the blind man) and spiritual blindness (the Pharisees.)

This is something I am going to be pondering for a while, not only as it relates to my relationship with God.  I am also considering how easily I might be blind to things around me, too. (Although, I’d appreciate some blindness to the physical mess in the house right now…)

During the Offertory, the choir sang Amazing Grace.  This is such a moving song and I know it was most likely selected to emphasize the ability of God’s grace to open our eyes.  So, I thought I would share a version I found on You Tube….

A song with the theme of opening our eyes to see God that I love is Open My Eyes by Jesse Manibusan.

I found the musician himself from a TV broadcast performing the song….

Enjoy!
