40 Days of Seeking Him: Last Week of Advent
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Where has the time gone? Every year I have great plans for Advent to really grow in relationship with Christ during this period of waiting. And, every year I find that I miss doing much of what I planned.
Good thing God doesn’t measure us by our ‘failures’!
This year I’ve decided to share a few posts from the previous week’s link up. I’m going to share the most visited post and a personal favorite (or two.)
The most visited post spot was tied (again) this week.
How’s YOUR Advent Going? Hearts – Before – Calendars Reflection & Encouragement on Gaudete Sunday at Campfires and Cleats really got me thinking about how I often let the calendar lead rather than making sure there’s plenty of time for relationships to bloom in our family.
City Sidewalks…. at A House Upon the Rock had me appreciating our current Alaskan location. We are outside of the city enough to feel a little ‘rural’, but close enough to get places in short order.
Beauty in the Silence at Children of the Church had me thinking about how I have let the hustle and bustle take hold. What I can sense my soul really needs is more quiet time with the Lord, either in Perpetual Adoration at our parish or even just sitting in silence with just the Christmas tree lights to illuminate the space around me.
How are your Advent plans going?
Are you excited for Christmas to arrive in just a few short days?
Join the 40 Days of Seeking Him Week Four Link Up
If joining us on the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme, please link directly to your post. Every week we will link up and share what we are doing, learning or how we celebrate the birth of our Lord. You are more than welcome to link up to more than one post each week if you’ve written multiple posts on the topic of Advent and growing closer to Christ.

I’m not sure what I am doing…haha …hope this works!
I see your post here in the comments, but will put it in the linky for you Lori. Thanks for stopping by! We’re doing this meme through Epiphany in case you have other posts that fit.
I, too, am wondering where Advent went and why my home, heart and family are not as fully prepared as I’d hoped they’d be at this point. Still, I rest, knowing that our Lord is ever present (and saved us from gas asphyxiation tonight by waking me!) I am so glad that He welcomes us to be with Him – past, present and future- no matter how ready we feel. 🙂
I have come to the conclusion that I’ll never have anything ‘perfect’ or where I’d like to have it. So glad your family is safe (gas asphyxiation would not be good!) and that God is present.
Thanks for hosting!! Can’t believe it’s the 4th week already!
Love visiting your blog~~~ will click to a few of the posts linked as well.
Pretty Cool to be one of the most visited…isn’t that awesome!?
Enjoy these last few days for Christmas, my friend!!! Good luck taking care of loose ends, but most importantly, take time to relax and soak in the joy, you busy Mommy……….Take care! xoxo
Thanks, Chris. Time does fly and I need to regroup tomorrow with regard to gifts. I fear that one of the boys has been ‘skipped’ in my buying so far and can’t have that happen for Christmas morning.
Definitely visit some of the other posts. There were several good ones the last few weeks with very few visitors.
I just finished a post based on the Annunciation; in that sense it is Adventy, and I’ll link to it momentarily.
Thanks, Christian. I have a list of posts to write this week and next and sure hope I can get them done.
I do love seeing what other people are doing and writing.
