Today we began our day at church for Father Brundage’s First Friday talk for the homeschoolers and elders. I was running behind getting a dish to pass ready and missed Latin Mass. But, I am glad to have gone for the talk.
This evening we are headed back to church for Soup and Stations. After last week’s lack of side dishes and D not finding anything besides bread he would eat, I’m cooking up a big batch of macaroni and cheese to bring so there is sure to be something for the younger boys to eat.
I love having the chance to do Stations of the Cross as a family.
One of the 14 lifesize marble Stations of the Cross statues inside Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna, New York. Taken by Dweeebis.
Tonight, the Ladies Group is leading and the original plan was to do a Taize Prayer Service instead of Stations. A goof up in the announcements has both happening now. While it will make for a longer evening, I am hoping to feel God’s Grace just flowing through the church. Besides, what is an extra 15 minutes of time in prayer and reflection over all that Christ did for us by dying on the cross for our sins?
This year, I am joining Trish @ A House Upon the Rock in co-hosting the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme. The linky will be up each week so you can add in posts daily, weekly, or whenever you are able. The posts can be about anything related to Lent and preparing for Easter ~ crafts, food, devotions, music or reflections are all welcomed.
I hope you will join us on this journey as we prepare our hearts to receive the wonderful gift of salvation we’ve been given through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
