40 Days of Seeking Him ~ Day 2
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This morning, the younger boys joined me for a snuggle in bed. We were all toasty warm and then then silence was interrupted by my stomach growling. I guess the fasting yesterday had caught up with me and my belly was complaining.
D’s response was to tell me to stay in bed so he could make me breakfast. When I tried to get up, he ‘ordered’ J to push me back down so I stayed in bed.
And, so I have been reflecting up our call to serve.
In our culture, it more common for people to consider what is in it for them rather than how they can help another. Like D’s act of making me breakfast in bed, our acts of service do not have to be grandiose. Rather, we should be finding was to be a servant to others without any fanfare or expectations.
I’d love to write more, but my head is about to split and I am in desperate need of some chocolate and then sleep.
So…enjoy a song about being a servant….
Servant Song by Donna Marie McGargill, OSM

I hope you will join us on this journey as we prepare our hearts to receive the wonderful gift of salvation we’ve been given through Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Servant hearts, beautiful to hear about, thank you for sharing.
Hope the chocolate made the rest of the day go better 🙂
