40 Days of Seeking Him 2020 Week 1
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Wow…the last few days have flown past quickly.
Like last year, I attended Ash Wednesday Mass alone.
And stayed on site for a Bible study group meeting. They are studying Exodus this Spring. That specific class focused on the first Passover and offered a lot of information I had not heard.
That evening, I was blessed to go to a dinner for time together with a friend before she went into surgery the next day. I sat with the few people I knew and we all shared how we met Susan.

Still praying for her as ongoing health issues means that any intervention like that carries risk. She made it through the surgery and now has the road to recovery to navigate.
Thursday had me back at daily Mass followed by our MOMS group study. They are working through the Gospel of Matthew. The last 2 weeks of that study have ended up overlapping with readings at Mass. One of the ways I find God speaking to me…repetitive exposure.
Friday was my one chance to attend Soup and Stations at our Alaska parish. While the soup was delicious, what I savored more was time spent with friends in fellowship and then prayer.
Saturday rounded out the week with less of a religious focus for me. I surprised my teen by showing up at the Anchorage Museum while the Academic Decathlon team was there. Then I was at the awards banquet. He won one individual medal (broze in Economics) and the team placed 2nd for both the Super Quiz competition and overall in the state.
