40 Days of Seeking Him 2011 ~ Day 37

The week is moving along quickly. Tomorrow starts the Triduum.
Today my heart has been heavy with thoughts of impatience. No, not impatience for Easter to arrive. While it is one of my favorite days of the year, I do not feel antsy over its arrival.
Instead, I have been feeling impatient towards others in my family. There are so many things that I want to accomplish and feel are important. However, they do not always agree and make it a challenge to get a lot done each day.
While in the midst of this struggle today, I heard a little ‘voice’ telling me to be patient.
Surrendering my will to this is NOT an easy thing to do. But, I can say that when I stop fighting it things improve.
God is way more patient with us than we are with most people. If we are striving to live more like Christ, then we need to learn when to push and when to step back.

Reposting after my 'snafu':Oh…how this is so true this week for me. I can't seemed to stay "heavenly minded"…always struggle with patience and kind words toward my family.I am still praying that this week will end on a high note, in spite of my weaknesses.Blessings,Trishwww.ahouseupontherock.com April 21, 2011 9:06 PM
