40 Days of Seeking Him 2011 ~ Day 34

With less than an hour until Sunday here in Alaska, I am finally sitting down to type up today’s post for the meme. It has been an interesting day in the world of computers as my laptop has decided to ‘give up the ghost’ as some would say. It was a hand me down that was already acting up at the time, so I am glad we got a little more than a year of life from it.  I am a bit sad to not only lose it, but that I was negligent in backing up files in the last few weeks.  Who knows when we’ll get things set up to pull files from that hard drive.

What this day has reminded me about is to Be Prepared. 

While we are preparing our hearts to celebrate the awesome gift of Salvation that God gave to us through Christ’s death and Resurrection, we also need to remember that we do not know what the future will bring for us and when our time will come.

So, as the day turns to Sunday and I spend time in the Lord’s presence at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I will be considering that each day could be my last to grow closer to Him.  Knowing that makes me want to work all the harder to listen to Him and follow His call.
