40 Days of Lent 2011 ~ Day 31

Lent continues to march forward.

I’m starting to wonder if God is calling me to grow in patience as the boys are testing it quite a bit lately.  And, it leaves me with a foul mood sometimes.

So, I thought I’d share a song that I love and fits with Lent…

Christ be Our Light by Bernadette Farrell.

I found quite a few postings of this one performed on You Tube. 

There’s the inauguration Mass for Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  I considered embedding that one here as the procession is incredible with Knights of Columbus in their full attire leading the way.  But, I’ll just link to that one.  If you have never seen a long procession filled with priest and the Archbishop in his full attire, it’s worth a look.

Then, there’s one with from the first non-Muslim church in Qatar.  For the truly conservative, traditional Catholic, the liturgical dancers bring the gifts to the altar might be a bit much.  But, it is a regional custom from what the comment on that page indicated.  Also, it’s very cool to see the Catholic Church in that part of the world! 

No…the one I’m embedding has the lyrics superimposed upon gorgeous photos from Ontario in the fall. They did modify it a bit and not all the verses are there.  But, if watching just this one wet your appetite, then you can visit the others.
