2nd Full Week of Lent is Here
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The second full week of Lent is here and I honestly feel like I am failing more at growing closer to God the way I planned. Daily devotional reading is not happening quite as planned. However, I am finding myself needing to lean more on God with some personal struggles and through that path I am growing closer to Him. At days, it seems like a never ending series of stairs climbing higher and higher. Yes, the views at the top will be worth it, but at times you wonder if the struggle will be worth it.
Looking Back at the Past Week for 40 Days of Seeking Him
Just like I did with the link up this past Advent, I am going to share the most visited post (or posts if there is a tie for click throughs) as well as a personal favorite or two from the previous week’s link up.
The most visited post was a tie this week. One of the posts is Lent 2015 with Magnificat Lenten Companion 2015 Giveaway! by Jen at Happy Little Homemaker. She shared how she is approaching Lent this year, something I always like to read.
Lisa’s post My Week in Review/Weekly Wrap-Up/THMJ- February 20/21 on Home to 4 Kiddos was the other ‘most visited’ blog post. I love the Kind Words Cross their family is doing this Lent. Such an easy idea and it should pay dividends in the future.
Picking a favorite post for the week was such a challenge. I was particularly drawn to Lori’s post Busy on Voted off the Island. I have heard that an acronym before, but hadn’t thought of it in a while. Yes, life can be chaotic, but the question to ponder is why are we so BUSY and are we investing our time and resources for things that do not get us any closer to an eternal life with God in heaven. I know that I am guilty of getting BUSY at times and needing to be conscientious in extracting myself from some activities to make more time for connecting with God and fostering relationships which are worth the investment.

Is Lent going ‘as planned’ for you or has life thrown you a curve ball?
What are some ways you are growing closer to God?

Thanks for hosting! I’m excited to check out some new blogs. 🙂
