Christmas is just 2 days away and while my boys look forward to opening presents in the morning, they also will be super hungry from their early morning wake up. My husband’s family had a tradition of Pop-Tarts on Christmas morning and my family had a baked sausage and egg casserole. In the past few years, we’ve compromised by having homemade cinnamon rolls for something sweet and then cook up eggs for protein. I thought it would be fun to find some other ideas for Christmas breakfast (or even surrounding days when we are all at home.) Check out these delicious Christmas breakfast ideas, including my family’s new favorite hash brown casserole.
Main Christmas Breakfast Dish Options
Breakfast Stromboli at Meaningful Mama.
Paleo Egg & Chorizo Muffins at Sweet C’s Design.
Cinnamon French Toast Casserole at Today’s Creative Blog.
Cheesy Bacon Hash Brown Casserole at The Happier Homemaker.
Crowd Pleasing Hashbrown Quiche here at Day by Day in Our World. We’ve had it for dinner, but I know this would be a hit for brunch time, too.
Dad’s French Toast Casserole at Saving Said Simply. I think the title says it all…this dish looks easy to make and should please the boys.
Christmas Breakfast Sweet Dish Options
Conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread) at Amanda’s Cooking.
Easy Chocolate Chip Scones at Ashley Marie.
Pumpkin Gingerbread at Texas Type A Mom.
Slow Rise Panettone at Andrea Meyers. I really want to try this one given my Italian heritage. Plus, freshly baked at home HAS to taste better than the wrapped in foil and boxed ones at the store.
Lemon Cranberry Muffins at Is This Really My Life?
Gingerbread Apple Pancakes at Healthy Seasonal Recipes. I don’t think we’ll make these instead of cinnamon rolls, but I seriously want to make them this holiday season.
