40 Days of Seeking Him ~ Week 4

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

As I prep this post, on my mind is the need to pray constantly.

1 Thessalonians – Chapter 5 verse 16-18

“Always be joyful; pray constantly; and for all things give thanks; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”

praying_hands_albrecht_durerSome days I feel like I do a great job with it.  Of course, some of the prayers are ones asking for grace to get through an immediate struggle.  And, others are prayers of intercession asking for the needs of others.

But, there are some days when I prepare for bed and look back on my day and wonder how I managed to forget to pray more.

Thankfully, God does not sit around keeping track of our prayers and how often we pray.  And, He knows that we need to dust ourselves off and try to do better the next day.

As Lent marches on, I am striving to integrate more prayer into my days.

This year, I am joining Trish @ A House Upon the Rock in co-hosting the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme. The linky will be up each week so you can add in posts daily, weekly, or whenever you are able. The posts can be about anything related to Lent and preparing for Easter ~ crafts, food, devotions, music or reflections are all welcomed.

I hope you will join us on this journey as we prepare our hearts to receive the wonderful gift of salvation we’ve been given through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
