The Night, Night Book, a review
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
J has entered the stage of enjoying books. He likes to just sit and look at them, almost ‘reading’ to himself. And, he enjoys having some stories read to him. After months of his coming up to you with little Christmas story board books, I’ve put those away. He was left with a few books he enjoys hearing, but none of them held the same draw as those Christmas stories.
At least that was the case before The Night, Night Book entered our house.
Now, he goes in search of this book when bedtime is approaching.
J loves to snuggle up with Dad to read it once, twice, or more in the evening. If that’s not enough for him, he’ll seek me or P out for additional readings.
And, one night, he even brought the book TO bed. Can we call it love?
For anyone curious about this book, I’ll share that it has the child saying “night, night” to people and things they encounter in their days. J’s even let me tuck him in on his bed a few nights, just like the little boy on the cover.
The illustrations are charming and the story is simple, yet engaging for a toddler like J. After seeing how much Little J has enjoyed this book, I’d definitely consider it as a gift for a baby or toddler.
The Night, Night Book is written by Marianne Richmond and comes in board book format (perfect for the little ones.) It retails for $7.95, is published by Sourcebooks and can be purchased online or at major retailers.
