40 Days of Seeking Him 2011 ~ Day 35

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Holy Week is here and on some level I can hardly believe how quickly time has flown.  It seems like just yesterday I was suffering through the early days of Lent and my choice to give up coffee and hot chocolate.  Now we have celebrated Palm Sunday and will be celebrating the Triduum before we know it.

Something I have been negligent in doing is ‘crafty’ things with the boys to reinforce our faith education.  However, I plan to incorporate a bit of crafting this week.

One project I want to do is construction of a tomb where we can lay Christ on Friday afternoon (after 3 p.m.) and then await his glorious Resurrection on Easter Sunday.  We made one of these using the template from Seton Art 1 a few years ago.  If I can find that one, we’ll use it.  Or, I will make a new one.  I think D will better appreciate that project now than he did 3 years ago.

Lacy over at Catholic Icing has a different great Resurrection set to be made.  If I can’t find the old tomb and Christ, then I might do this one instead.  That’s if I have saved up enough toilet paper rolls!  She has several other posts with crafty ideas for Easter or Holy Week that I’m mulling over.  I just wish I had more time in my days to do all the neat things I find.
