Bible Study Guide for All Ages
This summer, the younger boys and I have been enjoying some time with God’s Word. While we’ve often read Scripture together as part of a ‘circle time’ before beginning our regular homeschool work, we had not spent time in a true study of Scripture that could cover the wide range of ages. Thanks to the Bible Study Guide For All Ages, we might be doing this on a regular basis.

Bible Book Summary Cards $24.95
Imagine learning the basic content of every Bible book! You can with the Bible Book Summary Cards. The Student Pages will refer you to these cards in nearly every lesson. They are that helpful!
The Bible Study Guide is a curriculum program which takes you through parts of the Old and New Testament each year with all ages studying together. Actual curriculum options such as student pages are available for ages 3 through grade six. Younger children can listen to the Scripture readings alongside older siblings. Middle and high school students can do the same as well as helping younger siblings with timelines and memory cards.
The Bible Study Guide has 416 lessons which will walk you through the entire Bible (not including books recognized by the Catholic Church) over a 4 year period while trying to paint the ‘big picture.’ Students are given the opportunity to put what they are learning into practice with each lesson.
You can purchase sets of materials to cover the first year cycle by grade level, too. Alternatively, there is the option to purchase a Unit Teacher’s Guide that is meant to be used without any student pages.
Our Experience with Bible Study Guide for All Ages
From the moment I began glancing over these materials, I was in awe. Or maybe it was love at first sight?
Some materials out there can be challenging to use with a Catholic Bible or have information that contradicts what is taught in our faith. However, I have yet to encounter that problem with the Bible Study Guide as it is written to be used with whichever version of the Bible you already own or prefer. And, It truly is so easy to do this study with multiple ages! My rising 5th grader enjoyed helping his younger brother with his pages and memorization as much if not more than doing his own grade level work.
For me, I found it easiest to use the Beginner pages as my guide to the order of things. We’d do review with J and progress through the material including the Scripture reading for that lesson. After that portion, I would have J coloring while doing some review and other things like the timeline found in every other lesson with D.
The materials are laid out nicely with items such as the Beginner Time Line or Bible Book Summary Cards being quite helpful tools for learning and review. Student pages are easy to use and follow for both the teacher and student. We found that the book is easy to have come apart on the spine which is an issue for a perfectionist, but works out quite nicely if you’d rather only have the ONE page needed for that lesson.
The boys and I had mixed thoughts on the Children’s Songs CD. The first ‘song’ we had is one of those created with key memorization items set to a tune. While I get and appreciate that particular arrangement, the boys were not as thrilled to put the CD in for each lesson.
The other ‘complaint’ that I heard from D was that the Bible Study Guide does not go in order of the Bible. Rather, we’ve been delving into the story of Joseph for this review. It had been a while since I read through Genesis and had forgotten just how much of that book is devoted to the story of Joseph! You really do need 14 lessons to delve into his story and begin to appreciate it’s place in Salvation History.
As much as we’ve enjoyed this particular section of the Bible, I know that the boys are excited to move into the Book of Daniel next. The student pages we were sent will take us part way through the section on Jesus’ early life & 1st year of ministry. I have a feeling I’ll be ordering the next bunch of pages to continue our study if the boys and I keep enjoying this product.
Does your family study the Bible together and if so, what approach do you take?

I was anxious to read your review. I, too, loved that we as Catholics can use this product! I *love* that it just teaches what the Bible says without any attempt to impose doctrine or interpretation. I love that it teaches the Bible as the story of salvation history. I have already bought the next set of pages! Anyway, great review 🙂
Thanks, Laura! I do love this product and how it truly avoids denomination pitfalls that some have. I need to get my order together for the next set, although I was tempted to order the unit binders instead.
