Christian Home LogoWelcome to the 63rd edition of The Christian Home, a weekly Blog Magazine posted every Monday. Each article was submitted by various Christian Blog Authors.

I am honored to be hosting the magazine again this week. There are some wonderful articles submitted for this issue.  I hope you will enjoy them.

This week, we welcome another new featured columnist to the magazine… Karri at My Life’s Treasure.  I’ve loved reading her posts, especially the ones the fit into the homekeeping category.  I look forward to reading your thoughts each week.

Homekeeping

Featured Columnist –Karri shares My solution for the weekly schedule – Finally! over at My Life’s a Treasure. I have fought the idea of a schedule for so long, yet feel the need to get back to a more set schedule for the boys.

Parenting

ID-10070249

Featured Columnist – CrazyMom shares Lessons Learned over at Ramblings at the Crazy House. I think all parents with multiple children are finding ways to change their approach to parenting to avoid ‘mistakes’ made with the eldest.

Gentle Humor

33180f5ej1128k2Featured Columnist – Lisa shares another Just for Fun post over at The Army Chaps Wife. I had to giggle over the email she shared and can so relate!

modest fashion

Featured Columnist – Caroline presents Modest Monday (Girl’s Edition) and a Link Up over at The Modest Mom blog.  She has such precious little girls that it makes me sad to have none in my house.  If I did, I know that modesty would be top of mind with deciding what clothes they’d wear.

Finances

Featured Columnist– Mrs. White presents The Excitement of One New Dress over at The Legacy of Home.  Reading her article has me longing for a little girl to have an excuse to go shopping for a dress.  But, I was struck with her reflection upon the limited number of clothes people owned.  I’ve had that thought planted on my heart for a while, especially since the boys are notorious for not taking care of their clothes and being overwhelmed with all they have.  Thank you, Mrs. White, for the occasion to reflect more upon this and prod me to put clear out the closets and drawers on my to do list.

Movies and Music

Featured Columnist –   Laura O in AK recently enjoyed  War Horse ~ An Entertaining World War I Filmover at Day By Day in Our World.  This movie wouldn’t be a great fit for a younger child.  But, it was visually stunning and told a great story with such a horrid backdrop of war.

Health and Fitness Check-in

38419lfuw8pyrnhFeatured Columnist –Annie Kate presents Fit Mommy Friday: A Problem with Leftovers posted at Tea Time with Annie Kate.  She shares a reason  to be cautious about eating older leftovers in your fridge.  And, I can completely agree with the idea of planned leftover consumption rather than letting them sit in the fridge and become a science experiment (which does happen in our house at times.)

Gardening and Flowers

Featured Columnist – Briana showcases My Garden in May over at I Can’t Decide.  Things are growing quickly and she shared a photo of a pea plant with colored flowers, too.

The Godly Home

Featured Columnist – Sarah Coller from Hope in Every Season will be back soon.

Hospitality

Featured Columnist–Heather from Marine Corps Nomads will be back soon.

Home Business

Featured Columnist – Kathy Brodock from Teaching Good Things will be back soon.

Design and Decorate

Featured Columnist Deanna from Home Haven Ministry will be back soon.

I am looking for a featured columnist and/or submissions for a Young Adult column.  This needs to be an established teen or young adult blogger.
