I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Considering my great love of music and all the years I spent studying piano, one might assume that the boys are just awash in musical education. Sadly, this is not always the case. We do listen to a variety of music in our household, but this is where their musical education has stagnated.
So imagine my great surprise to be asked to review KinderBach’s Learning Center, an online program of 30 weeks with 4 lessons per week. The video segments are viewed in a small screen on your monitor and any activity pages can be printed or saved from the appropriate lesson’s page.
While my middle son is participating at times, it is my youngest son who practically begs me to load up the next lesson. He truly enjoys the cute songs and videos as well as the paper activities we have done so far. In one week’s time, he flew through the first 4 weeks of lessons.
Then we had a week off until I purchased a cheap keyboard at Walgreens for under $10. Once that was in the house, the younger boys did weeks 5 and 6 in one afternoon. Mom’s business and limited computer time the past week has another slow down in progress, but I anticipate another burst of activity from them over the next few weeks.
The online program is only one option for families to use this program. If you prefer, there is an option to purchase the sets with DVDs and workbooks. Anyone with a slow internet connection would find this one more beneficial.
I will also add that if you already own a piano or a full sized keyboard, then this option might be easier to implement if you can not have internet access near your piano. Just keep in mind that the cost for the printed program is higher than the package program for the internet.
If you are searching for basic music lessons for your preschool or early elementary student, then I highly recommend visiting KinderBach. You can take the program for a ‘test drive’, accessing the first 2 weeks for FREE.
