Thanks to Groupon for sponsoring this post on how to save money and stay warm this winter. As always, opinions are all mine.
August is closely approaching the midpoint which means summer will be coming to close soon. Some of my friends’ kids are already back to school. Even the weather is starting to turn here in Alaska with cooler days. Before I know it, I’ll be buried under blankets trying to stay warm this winter!
It isn’t that we don’t have central heating in our house. We do have baseboard water heating, but to keep within our budget we often have it set on the low side. After all, why heat up a bunch of empty rooms?
We also tend to hold off turning it all on right away as there is always a few weeks where it is cold and then warm again. After all, heating the whole house can be expensive and I’d rather use some of that money for other things our family needs.
A solution for us is to use a space heater. This way I can stay toasty without spending extra money to heat that unused space. Plus, the boys do not tend to feel nearly as cold as me!
Did you know that you can buy some awesome space heaters on Groupon Goods now and be ready for when the colder weather hits?
Here are just a few that I found on sale right now:
